Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mr Funktastic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and M I Callis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Callis has chosen The Humans Are Dead as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Callis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Funktastic as he avoids it easily.
Callis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Callis tests Funktastic's chin there with a solid looking shot.

and Funktastic connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Funktastic throwing strikes here but Callis is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Funktastic is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Callis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Funktastic.

Funktastic working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Callis's thigh. Callis counters though and makes it back to full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Funktastic trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Callis manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Funktastic goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Callis has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Funktastic but great work by Callis.

Callis might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Funktastic kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Funktastic is squirming around, avoiding Callis's attempts to control the action.

Callis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Funktastic is looking to escape.
Callis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Callis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Callis really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Funktastic.
