The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gogoplata shoots in looking for a takedown but Trotter manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gogoplata's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Gogoplata throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A left lands for Trotter.
Trotter scores with a jab. Gogoplata acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Trotter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gogoplata has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Trotter has managed to get both his arms back between Gogoplata's legs - danger averted.

Trotter might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gogoplata kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
