The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falconowski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cavalli pinned against the cage. Cavalli gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Falconowski closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The strikes coming from Falconowski are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Falconowski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Falconowski cracks Cavalli with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Cavalli knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Falconowski on the ground.

Cavalli gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Cavalli wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Falconowski.
Cavalli is in a horrible position here. Falconowski smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Falconowski fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Falconowski tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Falconowski is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Cavalli can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Falconowski lands a big shot there that rocks Cavalli but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
