Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jb Nnep! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andre Wilkon! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilkon throws a lazy head kick and Nnep counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Wilkon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A solid body kick from Wilkon. Wilkon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wilkon postures up.
Wilkon wants to control from the top but Nnep keeps moving. Wilkon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nnep is keeping the position for now. Wilkon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Nnep working a defensive guard here.

Nnep wants to sweep here but Wilkon controlling him for the moment. Wilkon stands up over Nnep, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nnep has momentary wrist control but Wilkon slips an elbow through the middle. Nnep keeping moving, preventing Wilkon from controlling successfully. Wilkon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Nnep, up you get! Nnep looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Nnep wants to clinch but Wilkon slips to the side and Wilkon moves into the clinch. Wilkon prevents the takedown attempt.
Wilkon pushes Nnep back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Nnep tries to pull guard but Wilkon holds him up against the cage and eventually Nnep drops back down to his feet.
Wilkon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilkon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wilkon throws a wild body kick that Nnep sees coming a mile off. Nnep misses with a right hand and Wilkon counters with a shoot takedown. Nnep fights it but they end up in guard. Nnep is breathing heavily. Wilkon wants to pass the guard but Nnep is keeping the position. Wilkon distracts Nnep with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Wilkon prevents Nnep from getting back to his feet. Wilkon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nnep. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wilkon landing some decent shots from guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilkon not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Wilkon postures up and lands a big shot to Nnep's brow. Wilkon landing some decent shots from guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nnep keeping full guard, as Wilkon tries to pass. Wilkon throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Wilkon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nnep swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wilkon lands a couple of elbows. Nnep looking to control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nnep working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Wilkon. Wilkon lands a couple of digs. Wilkon controls the pace of the fight for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A nice left hand lands by Nnep.
Nnep has had enough of the clinch but Wilkon keeps him there for the moment. Wilkon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nice cross by Wilkon. Nnep takes the fight into the clinch. Wilkon jumps guard.
Nnep throws a big right hand that misses. Wilkon trying to keep a closed guard but Nnep is proving a slippery customer.
Wilkon uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Wilkon shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilkon thows a huge punch but Nnep dodges it nicely.
Wilkon stalling. Wilkon drops an elbow to the side of Nnep's head. Wilkon postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Nnep to stand up. Wilkon scores with a three punch combo!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Wilkon. Wilkon clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilkon pulls Nnep into guard.
Wilkon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Wilkon keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Wilkon not landing any meaningful shots this time. Nice strikes from Wilkon there. Nnep tries to get to full guard but Wilkon has control of the leg. Wilkon is looking for a kimura but Nnep is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wilkon to get the leverage. Nnep makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nnep. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wilkon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nnep manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Wilkon wants to control but Nnep is having none of it. Wilkon tries to reverse the position but Nnep maintains control. Wilkon wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Nnep.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Wilkon rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nnep lands a nice short elbow. Nnep trying to control the action but Wilkon is working from the bottom. Nnep landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Wilkon makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Wilkon. Andre Wilkon has got the better of the ground game so far. Wilkon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nnep is one step ahead there. Wilkon is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Andre Wilkon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Wilkon has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Nnep off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Nnep throws a combination. Wilkon tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nnep fails with the takedown and Wilkon counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nnep won't be happy with that. Wilkon working the ground and pound. Wilkon stands up. Nnep darts in trying to clinch and Wilkon counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nnep tries to roll over but Wilkon keeps him under control. Nnep is working hard here to advance position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilkon working over Nnep with some ground and pound. Nnep looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Nnep is trying to maintain the position but Wilkon is very close to passing his half guard. Wilkon passes to side control. Wilkon slows the pace down. Nnep can't do much from the bottom here. Wilkon decides to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nnep on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Jb Nnep is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wilkon works over Nnep's head and body with a nice combination. Nnep keeps the fight on the outside. Nnep is looking to clinch but Wilkon is avoiding it.
Wilkon takes the fight into the clinch. Wilkon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nnep shoots in looking for a takedown. Wilkon tries to sprawl out of it but Nnep keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wilkon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A left and a right from Wilkon both land. Nice combination. Jb Nnep has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Andre Wilkon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. And that's the end of the fight! Andre Wilkon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wilkon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
