Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Suzuki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rico Podster!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Suzuki shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Podster manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Suzuki is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Suzuki might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Suzuki stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Podster lands with a slapping head kick.


It looks like George Suzuki has been cut.
Suzuki throws a wild body kick that Podster sees coming a mile off.
Suzuki blocks a head kick by Podster.

Suzuki closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Suzuki stands up from half guard.
Podster misses with a double jab.
Sloppy strikes from Podster. Those never looked like landing.

Suzuki closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Podster quickly recovers to half guard.
Suzuki with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Podster on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Suzuki seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. George Suzuki wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Good work by Podster as he checks the leg kick.

Suzuki shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Suzuki was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Suzuki cracks Podster with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Podster looks gassed!
Suzuki looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Suzuki fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Suzuki sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Suzuki swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). George Suzuki!
