Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Wasieleski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Calloway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyler Wasieleski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Calloway! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Calloway misses. Wasieleski bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Calloway's face as Wasieleski controls the position. Calloway wants to control but Wasieleski postures up. Wasieleski tries to stand but Calloway is controlling his head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wasieleski controlling the position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Calloway is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Wasieleski asserts his dominance and retains side control. Calloway seems a little lost for a moment, as Wasieleski dominates the positioning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wasieleski wants to stand but Calloway has his arm trapped. Calloway gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Calloway works his way to full guard. Good work. Wasieleski wants to control from the top but Calloway keeps moving.
We're going to have a standup here because Tyler Wasieleski wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Calloway gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Wasieleski counters with a nice double leg into guard. Wasieleski drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Calloway manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wasieleski has Calloway in his guard. Calloway trying to control but Wasieleski is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Calloway might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Wasieleski kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Wasieleski avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Calloway loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wasieleski might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Wasieleski throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Wasieleski working a defensive guard here.
Wasieleski has control of Calloway's left arm, preventing Calloway from doing any damage. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Wasieleski is trying to control the position but Calloway postures up.

Wasieleski postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Calloway is trying to control the position but Wasieleski postures up. Wasieleski prevents Calloway from getting back to his feet. Wasieleski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Calloway on the ground. Wasieleski is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Calloway yanks on the arm and Wasieleski is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Calloway.
