Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between North Dakota Wrecking Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Coogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rob Coogan will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, North Dakota Wrecking Machine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rob Coogan!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wrecking Machine bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coogan is trying to get back to half guard.

Wrecking Machine stands up and beckons Coogan to his feet.

Wrecking Machine closes the distance and clinches.

Wrecking Machine pulls Coogan into guard.

Coogan drops back looking for a leg! Wrecking Machine is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wrecking Machine manages to kick Coogan off! Coogan jumps back into Wrecking Machine's guard.

Wrecking Machine uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Coogan is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Wrecking Machine wants to stand but Coogan is controlling his arm.
Coogan is looking for a sweep.
Wrecking Machine tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Wrecking Machine connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Coogan some visible discomfort.
Coogan is not content to let Wrecking Machine control the position.
I wouldn't like to be where Coogan is right now.
Coogan regains half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Coogan regains full guard. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coogan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Coogan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Wrecking Machine is refusing to be controlled, as Coogan sits in half guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Coogan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Wrecking Machine trying to control here.

Wrecking Machine is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Wrecking Machine might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Coogan wants to take a breather but Wrecking Machine is having none of it.
Coogan prevents Wrecking Machine from improving his position.
Coogan trying to control the action but Wrecking Machine is working from the bottom.
Wrecking Machine wants to improve his position but Coogan is controlling well.
Wrecking Machine knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Coogan on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Coogan looks to score with a jab to the body but Wrecking Machine is just out of range.

Coogan feints and as Wrecking Machine raises his hands in defense, Coogan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Coogan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wrecking Machine is keeping the position for now.
Wrecking Machine is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Wrecking Machine scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.
Wrecking Machine keeping moving, preventing Coogan from controlling successfully.
Wrecking Machine avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Coogan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

North Dakota Wrecking Machine dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Coogan tries to land a front kick but Wrecking Machine steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Coogan gets caught flat footed, as Wrecking Machine shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Coogan wants to sweep but no luck.
Coogan pulls Wrecking Machine in close to prevent any damage.
Coogan keeping moving, preventing Wrecking Machine from controlling successfully.
Coogan is trying to control the position but Wrecking Machine postures up.
Wrecking Machine trying to control the position from guard on top but Coogan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

We're going to have a standup here because North Dakota Wrecking Machine wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Wrecking Machine closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wrecking Machine lands in his opponent's guard.

Wrecking Machine trying to control the position from guard on top but Coogan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
North Dakota Wrecking Machine overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wrecking Machine decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Coogan checks the leg kick nicely there.

Coogan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Coogan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wrecking Machine's head.

Wrecking Machine wants to control but Coogan is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Wrecking Machine is staying active underneath Coogan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Coogan prevents Wrecking Machine from improving his position.

Coogan seems to be looking for submissions.
Wrecking Machine is refusing to be controlled, as Coogan sits in half guard.
Wrecking Machine blocking the ground and pound attempt from Coogan.
