The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Konrad tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Maia is in Konrad's guard.
Maia passes Konrad's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Konrad wants to get back to full guard.
Maia passes the guard and advances to mount!
Maia putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Maia is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Konrad is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Konrad flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Maia anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Konrad and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Maia slips an arm under Konrad chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Maia has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Maia is squeezing on Konrad like an anaconda would it's prey. Konrad fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
