The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bonjasky.
Bonjasky drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Bonjasky trying to control but Malbranque is working from the bottom.
Malbranque knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bonjasky on the ground.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Malbranque controlling the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Remy Bonjasky.
Bonjasky misses with a takedown attempt
and Malbranque counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Malbranque wants to clinch
and Bonjasky counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bonjasky.
Malbranque keeping moving, preventing Bonjasky from controlling successfully.
Bonjasky drops back, looking for a kneebar! Malbranque looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Malbranque looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Malbranque!

Bonjasky wants to control but Malbranque postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Malbranque wants to stand but Bonjasky is controlling his arm.

Bonjasky gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Malbranque misses with a head shot. Bonjasky uses the momentum to regain guard.
Malbranque working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Malbranque throws a big right hand that misses.
Malbranque is looking to stand up but Bonjasky won't let him.
Bonjasky is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Malbranque frees his head nicely. Oh but Bonjasky has switched to an armbar! Malbranque is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
