Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jian Ru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jian Ru ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roger Reynolds! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ru moves to clinch but Reynolds breaks away and Reynolds counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ru tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Reynolds counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ru displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Reynolds. Ru lands with a thumping leg kick.
Reynolds is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ru 's half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Ru is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reynolds controlling the action here.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Roger Reynolds hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Ru keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ru gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ru is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Reynolds gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Ru regains guard.
Reynolds engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reynolds stands up from Ru 's guard - Reynolds perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ru wants to clinch but Reynolds slips to the side and Reynolds counters with a head kick. That will keep Ru thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Jian Ru seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ru wants to clinch and Reynolds counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ru 's guard now. Reynolds pushes down on Ru 's leg and manages to get into half guard. Reynolds controlling the action here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like Reynolds might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Ru is breathing heavily. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Ru is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Reynolds scores with a couple of nice shots. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reynolds with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Roger Reynolds has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Reynolds takes the fight into the clinch. Reynolds manages to break the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Reynolds throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ru tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Reynolds is in Ru 's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roger Reynolds dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ru tries to clinch and Reynolds counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ru 's guard now. Reynolds advances position into side control! Reynolds lands a nice forearm strike. Ru seems a little lost for a moment, as Reynolds dominates the positioning. Reynolds landing a few strikes. Ru tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Reynolds controlling the position easily from mount. Ru is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Reynolds locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Ru is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Roger Reynolds!
