Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Takashi Katsumoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Ayala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Takashi Katsumoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jorge Ayala! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jorge Garcia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Katsumoto connects with a jab. A bone on bone clash there as Ayala blocks the leg kick.
Katsumoto throws a sloppy head kick and Ayala moves out of range easily. Horrible takedown by Ayala or perhaps it was just good defense by Katsumoto which made him look bad. Ayala closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Katsumoto manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Katsumoto keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ayala can do anything to dispel that myth. Katsumoto sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ayala defending well though. Katsumoto works his way into full mount! Katsumoto pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Katsumoto is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ayala can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Katsumoto controlling the position easily from mount. Katsumoto has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Katsumoto punishing his opponent with strikes. Katsumoto with good strikes from the mount here! Ayala is bucking up trying to escape but Katsumoto cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Katsumoto controlling the pace for now. Ayala is in all sorts of trouble here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Katsumoto cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Katsumoto jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ayala manages to avoid the submission attempt. Katsumoto staying calm.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ayala takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Katsumoto scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ayala to see if he's OK. Katsumoto taking a breather here. Katsumoto scores with a couple of short elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Katsumoto landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Katsumoto working the body and head with strikes. Katsumoto stands up and beckons Ayala to his feet. Ayala fails with the takedown and Katsumoto counters with a slapping leg kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Katsumoto feints a jab and as Ayala dips his head, Katsumoto unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Ayala right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Ayala falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Katsumoto smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Takashi Katsumoto!
