The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Gracie is trying to improve his position.

Silva swings around for an armbar but Gracie sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Silva's guard.
Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Silva wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.
Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Silva is keeping the position for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva has control of Gracie's left arm, preventing Gracie from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Silva's guard.
Gracie is pressing down on Silva's thigh, looking to free his foot. Silva is holding on for now.

Gracie is working for a submission of some sort.
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.
Silva is positioning himself well to prevent Gracie advancing to mount.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Gracie is trying for a kimura here. Silva looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Gracie wins by kimura!
