Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Duder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Rafael Santos has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rafael Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Duder! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos shoots for a takedown but Duder saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nice sprawl there from Duder as Santos shoots in. Santos shoots for a double leg takedown but Duder sprawls well. He's pushed Santos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rafael Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Duder throws a head kick but Santos moves out of range.
Santos throws a head kick that misses and Duder counters with an inside leg kick. Duder throws a head kick that misses and Santos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Duder throws a poor cross that misses
and Santos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Santos checks a leg kick. Duder throws a sloppy head kick and Santos moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos blocks a head kick by Duder.
Santos with a lazy takedown attempt and Duder counters with a big head kick but Santos shrugs it off. Santos fails with the takedown and Duder counters with an inside leg kick. A head kick by Duder misses and Santos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Santos misses with a takedown attempt and Duder counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Santos is breathing heavily. Duder throws a lazy head kick and Santos counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Santos with a poor takedown and Duder counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Santos fails with the takedown and Duder counters with a stiff right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A head kick misses from Duder. Santos gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Duder counters with a leg kick. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Santos misses with a takedown attempt and Duder counters with a leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos misses with a takedown and Duder counters with a head kick. That will keep Santos thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Santos closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Santos lands in his opponent's guard. Santos stops Duder from standing up. Santos wants to control from the top but Duder keeps moving. Santos won't allow Duder to get back to his feet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Duder can do anything to dispel that myth. Santos postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Santos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Santos is in close to Duder's body, working some short punches and elbows. Santos prevents Duder from getting back to his feet. Santos content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Santos advances to half guard. Duder really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duder wants to get back to his feet. Santos seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Duder manages to escape and get back to his feet! Santos doesn't succeed with the takedown and Duder counters with a nice leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Duder throws a lazy head kick enabling Santos to counter with a crisp jab. Duder moves away from the strike by Santos. A head kick by Duder - that's a beauty! Santos is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Duder can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ryan Duder!
