Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Beautiful Boxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Withers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Withers has chosen War Is My Destiny as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Beautiful Boxer! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luke Withers! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Withers takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Withers takes a swing at Boxer's ribcage but misses. Withers uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Boxer. Boxer is looking to clinch. Boxer throws a hook to the side of Withers's head but Withers sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Boxer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Withers looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Boxer misses with a body shot.
Boxer misses with a hook. Withers shoots for a double leg takedown but Boxer sprawls well. He's pushed Withers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Boxer throws an ugly left hook that misses
so Withers counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Withers throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Withers forces his way into half guard. Withers has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boxer is trying to get back to full guard. Boxer is working hard here to advance position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Withers not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Boxer is controlling Withers's trapped leg to prevent Withers from advancing to side control. Boxer slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Withers in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Withers lands a couple of digs. Boxer keeping moving, preventing Withers from controlling successfully. Boxer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Withers on the ground. Boxer controls Withers momentarily but Withers frees himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Withers wants to control from the top but Boxer keeps moving. Withers works over Boxer with some ground and pound from guard. Withers with a flurry of punches that miss. Withers controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Withers has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Boxer connects with a looping right hand.

A close round but Luke Withers will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

It looks like Luke Withers has been cut. Boxer jabs Withers to the body, keeping him at a distance. Boxer avoids the body shot from Withers.

Withers tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Boxer was well out of range. Poor timing from Withers. Withers throws a sloppy head kick and Boxer moves out of range easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A looping hook to the body misses from Boxer. Withers does a little dance to reset his feet. Withers keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round. Boxer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Boxer throws a predictable looking body shot
and Withers counters with a body kick. Withers punishes Boxer's body with a nice straight punch. Withers fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Boxer doesn't manage to clinch there - Withers circles away.
Withers connects with a single shot there. A shot to the body from Withers misses and Boxer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Withers misses with a body punch
and Boxer counters with a one-two to the body. Withers misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Boxer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Withers fails to land the takedown. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Boxer throws a big shot that misses. Boxer rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Withers counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Boxer thinking. Withers misses with a looping left. Withers keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Withers counters with a shoot takedown. Boxer fights it but they end up in guard. Boxer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Withers drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Withers jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Boxer keeping moving, preventing Withers from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Withers looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Boxer is trying to hold Withers in close to prevent damage but Withers has managed to pass into half guard.
Boxer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Withers is working away from the top position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Withers is taking a breather. Boxer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Withers is looking to take a break and control but Boxer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Withers missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Withers scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Withers lands a nice short elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Withers gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Boxer throws a nice looking combination but Withers bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Withers swings widly with a right hand
and Boxer counters with a nice uppercut. Boxer dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Boxer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Boxer throws a jab but it's blocked by Withers. Boxer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Withers manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A looping hook to the body misses from Withers. Boxer does a little dance to reset his feet. Withers avoids the body shot from Boxer.

Boxer throws a series of punches but Withers avoids them all with ease. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Boxer misses with a hook
so Withers counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Withers trying to control the position from guard on top but Boxer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boxer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Withers postures up in Boxer's guard and throws a big left but Boxer blocks it. Withers throwing strikes from guard but Boxer blocks nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boxer preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Luke Withers has got the better of the ground game so far. Withers pushes down on Boxer's leg and manages to get into half guard. Withers drops an elbow to the side of Boxer's head. Withers seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Boxer wants to stand back up but Withers manages to pass into side control.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Boxer tries to get out of the position. Withers lands a nice forearm strike. Boxer is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Withers working the ground and pound but Boxer is defending the strikes.

and Boxer makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Boxer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Withers sees it coming and avoids it easily. Withers on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Withers is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted. Boxer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Withers was well out of range. Poor timing from Boxer. Boxer connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Withers is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boxer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Boxer wants to clinch. Boxer digs a good body shot into Withers's ribs. Boxer tests Withers's chin there with a solid looking shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Boxer lands with a shot to the body. Withers swats away the attempt to clinch by Boxer.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boxer wants to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boxer works the jab nicely. Withers shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Boxer staying out of range there.

and Boxer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Boxer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Withers misses with a right hand and Boxer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Withers swings away with a body shot that misses
letting Boxer counter with a right hand. Withers misses the body punch and Boxer counters with a two punch combo. Withers shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boxer's guard. Withers is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell? The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Boxer wants to sweep here but Withers controlling him for the moment. Withers's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Boxer can't keep his opponent in guard - Withers advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Withers controlling the action here. Boxer is looking to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, if Withers is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Boxer avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Withers. Withers moves nicely into side control. Withers postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Withers in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Boxer is looking for a sweep. Withers looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Boxer is avoiding damage well.
Withers is working Boxer over with some ground and pound from side control. Withers wants to control but Boxer is keeping him busy. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Withers is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Boxer is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Beautiful Boxer. I think Withers has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The fight ends as a draw! Beautiful Boxer retains his title. It's always disappointing when a championship fight ends as a draw but that's what happens when you leave the fight in the judges hands!
