Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Bruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Kraven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kraven has chosen Back in Black as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Bruce! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Kraven! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kraven. Kraven shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bruce's guard. Kraven throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Bruce uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kraven will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bruce is looking to clinch but Kraven is avoiding it.
Bruce connects with a solid leg kick. Kraven tries to keep at a distance but Bruce has taken the fight into the clinch. Bruce really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bruce looking to throw knees to the head but Kraven is blocking nicely.
Kraven wants to get back to striking at distance but Bruce won't allow it.
Kraven is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Bruce pulls guard. Bruce knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kraven on the ground. Bruce wants to stand up but Kraven is controlling him. Kraven has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kraven is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kraven wants to control from the top but Bruce keeps moving. Bruce is looking to stand up but Kraven isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bruce scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Kraven looks for a takedown but Bruce sprawls well. David Bruce has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Kraven. Bruce cracks the inside of Kraven's front leg. Kraven looks gassed! Bruce lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Kraven walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Kraven misses with a head kick.

Bruce closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kraven gets underhooks to prevent Bruce's takedown attempt.
Bruce goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kraven prevents it.
Bruce with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Bruce drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bruce misses with an elbow over the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bruce connects with a knee to the head.
Kraven fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Kraven can't get the takedown.
Bruce lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Kraven wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Bruce tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kraven smiles and moves away.
Bruce has managed to clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bruce tries to land a knee to the head but Kraven blocks with his arms.

Bruce looking for a takedown. Kraven takes a knee right on the jaw!
Bruce is pressed up against the cage. Kraven has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bruce down to the mat. Bruce avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Some wild striking there from Bruce.
Bruce throws a push kick but Kraven slaps the foot to one side. Kraven tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Bruce counters by clinching up. Bruce drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kraven pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kraven shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bruce counters with a straight right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bruce lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Kraven walks into a jab.
Kraven is rocked! Bruce closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kraven is still on wobbly legs! Can Bruce finish him? Bruce lands with a short head shot on the inside. Kraven takes a knee right on the jaw!

Bruce unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kraven lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Bruce connects with a knee right up the middle there - that's rocked Kraven badly! Kraven tumbles to the floor and Bruce stands over him, dominant and satisfied with his glorious KO victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Bruce!
