The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rapist dives in and grabs Sullivan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sullivan pushes down on Rapist's head and hops out.
Rapist tries for a takedown but Sullivan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sullivan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sullivan throws a shot from downtown. Rapist moves away and avoids it.
Rapist looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Rapist advances position into side control!
You can see the frustration on Sullivan's face as Rapist controls the position.
Rapist seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sullivan for as long as he can get away with.
Sullivan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rapist. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rapist is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Sullivan is trying to escape and Rapist transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Sullivan is forced to tap! Nice work there by Rapist! Very nice indeed!
