Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Alito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Blankenship (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blankenship has chosen Dare to be Stupid as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Samuel Alito! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kenny Blankenship! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Alito. Alito avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Blankenship throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Blankenship tries to bum rush Alito with a series of wild strikes but Alito uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Blankenship lands with an uppercut that bounces Alito off the cage and back into rage. Alito ducks straight into an uppercut from Blankenship and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Alito maanges to regain guard straight away.
Alito is rocked! Alito looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Blankenship passes into side control.
Oh Alito is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Blankenship wants to stand but Alito has his arm trapped. Alito seems to have got his legs back now. Blankenship really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alito. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Alito manages to work his way to half guard, despite Blankenship's best efforts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alito tries to get to full guard but Blankenship has control of the leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alito gets back to full guard.
Alito looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Blankenship wants to stand but Alito has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Alito working for a triangle but Blankenship defends it easily.
Alito has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Blankenship can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alito looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Blankenship must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Alito is breathing heavily. Blankenship wants to control from the top but Alito keeps moving. Blankenship has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Alito is proving hard to escape from. Alito looking for a sweep. Not yet Alito, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alito is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Alito is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Alito manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Alito is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Blankenship is surviving well by controlling Alito's body position as best he can. Alito swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Blankenship is now in Alito's guard. A big mistake from Alito there, giving up the dominant position! Alito keeping full guard, as Blankenship tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alito had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Blankenship is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Alito Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Blankenship's back instead. Alito has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Blankenship has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Blankenship is trying to stand back up. Alito working for the choke. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Samuel Alito will probably get the nod. That's time! Alito's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Samuel Alito is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Blankenship throws a nice looking combination but Alito bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Alito fails with a takedown attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Alito. Blankenship lands a nice looking body shot.
Alito ducks right into an uppercut from Blankenship. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Blankenship fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Alito looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Alito moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Blankenship misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alito shoots for a takedown but Blankenship saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samuel Alito. That's going to take a lot out of him. Blankenship lands a jab to the head.
Blankenship connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Blankenship fails to land with a series of punches.
Blankenship misses with a wild combination.
Blankenship missing with a left hand there. Alito was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Blankenship looks to land a combination but Alito avoids it well. Alito looks for a takedown but Blankenship sprawls well. Blankenship misses with a jab, cross combination.
A shot to de liver by Blankenship. Beautiful body shot. Blankenship connects with a stiff jab that staggers Alito - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
