Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pencil Neck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timmothy McNutt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neck comes to the cage accompanied by Rolling Stones - Paint it black. Timmothy McNutt is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pencil Neck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Timmothy McNutt!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from McNutt misses.
Neck is looking to score with low kicks.
McNutt goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Neck tries to clinch up but McNutt circles away and keeps his distance.

and McNutt counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Neck tries to close the distance and clinch up but McNutt swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Neck stands up and beckons McNutt to his feet.

and McNutt counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

McNutt throws a strike there. Neck manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Neck is looking to control McNutt's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Neck avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neck is looking for a triangle but McNutt pushes his legs off easily.
McNutt distracts Neck with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McNutt wants to control from the top but Neck keeps moving.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neck looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Neck is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

McNutt postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
McNutt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Neck. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neck pushes McNutt off and scrambles back to his feet.
Neck lands a nice leg kick that just misses McNutt's sensitive parts.
McNutt misses with a wild combination.
McNutt swings for the body but Neck moves out of range.

Neck feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

McNutt is working an open guard so Neck takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Pencil Neck will probably get the nod.
That's time! Neck's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McNutt on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Neck rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McNutt moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Neck tries to close the distance and clinch but McNutt swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
No joy there for McNutt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Neck tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. McNutt manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Neck has his hands on McNutt's head, controlling the position.
Neck wants to sweep here but McNutt controlling him for the moment.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McNutt can do anything to dispel that myth.
Neck stands and throws McNutt's legs to the side, diving into side control.
McNutt is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Timmothy McNutt will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Neck shoots in and bounces McNutt off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Neck is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

It looks like Timmothy McNutt has been cut.
Neck moves to take his opponent's back.
McNutt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Neck is persistently looking for the submission but McNutt is defending it well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Neck is trying to stick to McNutt's back but McNutt is turning into Neck. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Neck's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by McNutt.

Neck has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think McNutt should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Neck has tightened it up now! McNutt should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
