Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Kimono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and McGillicuddy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Kimono takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Frank Kimono has been cut.
Kimono shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Kimono keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kimono misses with a two punch combination.
Jones blocks a head kick by Kimono.
Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Jones lands a left and a right that send Kimono crashing to the mat, dazed. Jones thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Kimono up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Jones from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Kimono's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). McGillicuddy Jones!
