Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Karim Chamakh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karri Vahti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chamakh comes to the cage accompanied by Robyn - Indestructible. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karim Chamakh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karri Vahti! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A left lands for Vahti. Chamakh ducks right into an uppercut from Vahti.
It looks like Karim Chamakh has been cut. Vahti scores with a hook to the body. Chamakh takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Vahti digs a good hook to Chamakh's body.
Vahti throws the kick towards the body but Chamakh avoids it. Vahti staying out of range there. Chamakh shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Chamakh might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Vahti is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vahti is pressing down on Chamakh's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chamakh is holding on for now. Vahti stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Chamakh to get to his feet. Vahti misses with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chamakh closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vahti to the mat! Vahti manages to get full guard. Chamakh looking to sit in guard and control but Vahti gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Vahti tries to stand but Chamakh is controlling from the bottom. Chamakh controls Vahti momentarily but Vahti frees himself. Vahti stands up from Chamakh's guard - Vahti perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vahti thows a left - swing and a miss! Vahti looks to land a right hand but Chamakh moved out of range. Chamakh takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Vahti throws a series of punches but Chamakh avoids them all with ease. Vahti throws a leg kick but Chamakh checks it. A slow jab from Vahti misses its intended target. Vahti slaps away a takedown attempt from Chamakh, before circling back to the center of the mat. Vahti misses with a low kick.
Vahti lands a body shot.
Vahti connects with a good right hand that stumbles Chamakh. Chamakh circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Vahti just misses with a punch to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vahti scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Karri Vahti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vahti cracks the inside of Chamakh's front leg. Chamakh misses the shot to the body. Vahti clobbers Chamakh with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Chamakh closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Chamakh fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vahti manages to avoid it. Vahti feints and then cracks Chamakh's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chamakh down. Chamakh staying out of range there. A looping hook to the body misses from Chamakh. Vahti does a little dance to reset his feet. Vahti is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Nice defenses there by Chamakh. Chamakh checks a leg kick. Vahti lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Vahti is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Chamakh had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Vahti misses with a low kick as Chamakh jumps back. Chamakh takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Vahti tries to sprawl but Chamakh drives through with a takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vahti wants to control but Chamakh passes into side.
The strikes coming from Chamakh are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Chamakh wants to control but Vahti is keeping him busy. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vahti tries to bench press Chamakh off him but Chamakh keeps the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Karri Vahti dominated that round. The cut man is working on Karim Chamakh's cut. That's time! Chamakh's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Chamakh throws a jab but it's blocked by Vahti. Chamakh gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Chamakh walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Chamakh shoots in and bounces Vahti off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Chamakh trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Chamakh is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vahti controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Karri Vahti has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Vahti scores with a leg kick.
Vahti just misses with a punch to the body.
Vahti throws a hook but Chamakh avoids it easily. Chamakh shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vahti sprawls well. Vahti wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chamakh gets slowly back to his feet. Vahti has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Vahti scores with a jab. Chamakh acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Vahti swings for the body but Chamakh moves out of range.
A low kick from Vahti is predictable there and Chamakh counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Vahti's guard now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vahti looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Vahti is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Chamakh is trying to maintain the position but Vahti is very close to passing his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vahti is keen to just control but Chamakh is a slippery customer. Vahti decides to stand and escape the position. Karri Vahti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Chamakh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vahti.
A big right from Chamakh misses. Chamakh thows a body shot but no joy. Chamakh moves out of range as Vahti strikes. Chamakh takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Vahti misses with an uppercut. Vahti throws a leg kick but Chamakh sees it coming and checks it nicely. Vahti stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vahti wants it to stay on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Vahti, as that shot connected.
Vahti looks to score with a jab to the body but Chamakh is just out of range. Chamakh takes a swing at Vahti's ribcage but misses. Chamakh blocks a low kick nicely. Vahti throws a low kick but it's checked well by Chamakh. Vahti misses with a lunging right hand
and Chamakh counters with a nice double leg into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chamakh content to control rather than advance. Vahti works his way to full guard. Good work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Karri Vahti showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Karim Chamakh's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Vahti changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Chamakh closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Vahti sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Vahti wants to improve his position but Chamakh is controlling well.
Chamakh tries to pass the half guard into mount. Vahti knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Chamakh throws a strike but Vahti avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vahti not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Vahti avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Vahti not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Karri Vahti has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Vahti fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Chamakh has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Vahti connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Chamakh momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chamakh throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Vahti ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chamakh moves away. Vahti throws a head kick that half lands.
Chamakh defending well as Vahti loads up on a big left hand. Vahti swings and misses with a shot to the body and Chamakh counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vahti is looking for a sweep. Chamakh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Vahti is looking to get back to full guard here but Chamakh has managed to pass to side control instead. Vahti takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vahti is trying to get back to half guard. Vahti is trying to control Chamakh's posture but Chamakh avoids it. Karim Chamakh has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Vahti manages to work his way to half guard, despite Chamakh's best efforts. Vahti wants to control but Chamakh is keeping busy.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Karri Vahti hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Vahti throws a hook but Chamakh blocks it. Karri Vahti is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Vahti.
Vahti slips under a jab.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Karri Vahti. I've got Vahti winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
