Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tom Possible (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zane Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Possible comes into the arena with Like I Never Left blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Possible rushes Paul and presses him up against the cage. Possible blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Paul pushes off an throws an elbow but Possible leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Paul is stalling here.
Possible is looking to control Paul's arms but Paul gets an underhook and turns him. Now Possible has his back to the cage. Paul throws an elbow that misses.
A short uppercut from Possible. Paul lands a body shot. A head punch blocked on the inside by Possible. Paul working some nice short punches in the clinch. Possible changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Paul fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Possible closes the distance and pushes Paul back into the cage. Paul doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Possible gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Paul flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Possible stalling. Paul manages to get to full guard.
Possible slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paul has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Possible can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Paul working a defensive guard here.
Possible has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Possible engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Paul throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Possible controlling from the top position. Paul looking to hit a scissor sweep but Possible is one step ahead there. Paul is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Paul keeping full guard, as Possible tries to pass. Possible postures up.
Possible is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Tom Possible wasn't doing enough on the ground. Possible scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Paul moves in looking to clinch but Possible pushes him off. Paul misses with an uppercut
and Possible counters with a shoot takedown. Paul fights it but they end up in guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Possible is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Paul throws his legs up looking for a submission but Possible uses it to pass to side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Possible avoids the strikes from the bottom by Paul. Possible is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Paul's shoulder. That is not cool. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Paul manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Paul trying to control from the bottom.
Possible tries to pass to full mount but Paul defends it. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Possible in particular looking to stall. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tom Possible. Possible fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Possible swings and misses with a shot to the body enabling Paul to counter with a crisp jab. Paul darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Possible wants to clinch. Possible clinches with his opponent.
Paul prevents the takedown attempt.
Paul will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Possible up against the cage. Possible breaks from the clinch.
Possible tries to bum rush Paul with a series of wild strikes but Paul uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Possible looks to land a combination but Paul avoids it well. Possible lands a really nice looking cross but Paul seems unphased.

Possible misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Possible. That's going to take a lot out of him. Possible is breathing heavily. Possible shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Possible dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Paul cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Possible gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Paul. Paul throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Possible counters by clinching up. Possible wants the takedown. Paul is fighting it off but Possible persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Paul's guard against the cage. Possible won't allow Paul to sweep him here. Possible is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Paul is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Paul scores with a nice shot. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Paul striking off his back but it's not causing Possible any problems. Paul controls Possible momentarily but Possible frees himself. Possible looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Possible wants to clinch. A head kick from Possible lands but Paul takes it in his stride. Paul throws a lazy uppercut
and Possible counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Paul manages to get to full guard.
Paul is trying to control the position but Possible postures up. Paul striking off his back but it's not causing Possible any problems. Paul is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Possible looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Possible pushing down on Paul's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Possible wants to pass the guard but Paul is defending well. Possible controlling the pace. Paul is trying to control but can't.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Possible throws a left and a right that both miss
and Paul counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Paul. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Possible tries to score a body lock takedown but Paul shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Paul pushes off an throws an elbow but Possible leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Paul lands with a light punch inside. Possible tightens his grip and picks Paul up, before dumping him to the ground. Paul manages to land in guard. Possible engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Paul looking for a sweep. Not yet Paul, not yet.
