Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juno Navras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Juno Navras is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Juno Navras!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Smith!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Navras drives through and clinches with Smith against the cage.
Smith avoids the elbow strike from Navras, against the cage.
Smith tries for a takedown but Navras manages to get underhooks.

Navras breaks from the clinch.
A left and a right from Navras both land. Nice combination.

Navras shoots in and bounces Smith off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Navras wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.
Navras would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Navras feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Smith stuffs the takedown attempt from Navras. Navras gets slowly back to his feet.
Navras will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Navras counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Smith has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Navras is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Juno Navras. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Navras digs a right hand into Smith's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Smith's gas tank.

Juno Navras showed his dominance in that final round.
