Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Average (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cypress Hill featuring Barron Ricks - Tequila Sunrise kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Miguel Sanchez acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Average! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miguel Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez throws a left and a right that both miss
and Average counters with a stiff right hand. Sanchez moves to clinch but Average breaks away and Sanchez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Sanchez lands with an uppercut that bounces Average off the cage and back into rage. Sanchez gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Average. Sanchez misses the body punch and Average counters with a nice low kick that buckles Sanchez's knee momentarily. Sanchez throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Average counters with a right hand to the body. Average shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Average showed some decent athleticism there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Average wants to take a breather but Sanchez is having none of it. Average is working for a kimura but Sanchez is defending it quite comfortably.

Sanchez is looking to take a break and control but Average is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Average sneaks back into half guard. Average is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sanchez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sanchez's back! Sanchez defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Average's arms. Sanchez is keeping busy.

Sanchez knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Sanchez for a finish. Average has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Sanchez has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Average looking to hold on to the position here but Sanchez rolls and ends up regaining guard.

Average trying to control the position but instead, Sanchez has worked for underhooks and has pushed Average into the cage. Average lands a hook that snaps the head of Sanchez backwards. Sanchez swings wildly with an uppercut but Average uses good head movement to avoid it. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Sanchez as Average tries to tie him up. Average drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sanchez looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sanchez looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sanchez! Average being controlled for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Average tries to get back to half guard but can't. Average is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sanchez off and has taken his back! Sanchez is really stuck here.
Average is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Sanchez won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Average off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Joe Average! Joe Average retains his lightweight title!
