 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reyes misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Giles.
Giles works the jab nicely. Giles tries to clinch up and Reyes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Reyes finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Giles closes the distance but Reyes moves to the side and Reyes counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Giles tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Reyes counters with a right hand to the body. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Reyes, as that shot connected.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Reyes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Giles thows a left - swing and a miss! Giles tries to clinch up and Reyes makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Giles really felt that one! Giles moves out of range of the leg kick from Reyes. Reyes is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Giles rather than just go for the knockout. Reyes misses with a series of wild punches.

Giles looks to clinch and Reyes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Reyes throws a jab but it's blocked by Giles. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Reyes fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Giles tries to clinch but Reyes moves away and Reyes counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Giles wants to clinch letting Reyes counter with a right hand. Reyes looks to land a combination but Giles avoids it well. Giles rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Reyes moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Brad Reyes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Giles moves out of range as Reyes strikes. Reyes digs a good body shot into Giles's ribs. Giles displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. A nice combination there by Giles.
Giles moves to clinch but Reyes breaks away and Reyes counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Good exchange - Reyes coming out on top. and Giles cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A head kick misses from Reyes. A looping hook to the body misses from Reyes. Giles does a little dance to reset his feet.  That's two minutes gone in the round. Reyes throws a hook to the side of Giles's head but Giles sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Giles tries to clinch but Reyes moves away and Reyes counters with a series of strikes. Giles will be more careful next time no doubt.

Reyes wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Giles has him pressed against the cage. Reyes has had enough of the clinch but Giles keeps him there for the moment. Giles tries to pull guard but Reyes holds him up against the cage and eventually Giles drops back down to his feet.
Reyes tries to break the clinch but Giles is controlling the position. Giles avoiding damage as Reyes throws knees to the body.
Reyes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Giles counters with a one-two to the body. Nice defenses there by Giles. Giles with a hook. Giles looks to clinch and Reyes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Giles digs a good body shot into Reyes's ribs. Giles tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Reyes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Reyes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Giles counters by moving into the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Reyes's face as he tries to break the clinch. Reyes wants to get back to striking at distance but Giles won't allow it.
Reyes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Reyes on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Giles clobbers Reyes with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Reyes takes one to the chin there. Giles moves to clinch but Reyes breaks away and Reyes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Giles darts in trying to clinch and Reyes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Reyes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Giles moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Brad Reyes is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Reyes throws an off balance right hand
and Giles counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Reyes throws a right and a left that Giles avoids nicely. Reyes throws the kick towards the body but Giles avoids it. Giles fails with an attempt to clinch.
Giles closes the distance looking to clinch and Reyes counters with a lovely shot to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Brad Reyes. I've got Reyes winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
