Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jet Fen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yuri Sarbinov! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fen fails with a takedown attempt. Sarbinov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Fen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sarbinov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sarbinov won't allow Fen to sweep him here. Sarbinov pushes down on Fen's leg and manages to get into half guard. Fen is looking for a sweep. Sarbinov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Sarbinov throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Sarbinov throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sarbinov trying to control from Fen's half guard. Fen has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Fen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sarbinov defends it easily. Fen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sarbinov is looking to work some ground and pound but Fen has wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sarbinov pushes down on Fen's leg and manages to get into half guard. Fen trying to control from the bottom.

That could spell trouble for Sarbinov! Fen is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sarbinov to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sarbinov shrugs it off. Sarbinov tries to reverse the position but Fen maintains control.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Fen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sarbinov is looking to escape. Fen is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sarbinov can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
A nice elbow there by Fen. Sarbinov taking shots to the head. Fen jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Sarbinov manages to avoid the submission attempt. Sarbinov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Fen is trying to get an arm triangle but Sarbinov is defending well.

Sarbinov is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jet Fen dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Fen bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Sarbinov drives through with a takedown into guard. Fen wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Sarbinov scoring with some ground and pound. Fen pulls Sarbinov in close to prevent any damage. Fen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sarbinov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sarbinov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sarbinov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Fen has his foot on Sarbinov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sarbinov works his way back into a safe position though. Fen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sarbinov lands a couple of digs. Sarbinov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Sarbinov working the head and body with strikes. Fen takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Sarbinov slows the pace down. Fen on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Fen is trying to control Sarbinov's posture but Sarbinov avoids it. Sarbinov misses with the ground and pound. Sarbinov works to advance to full mount. Fen defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Sarbinov with a couple of short strikes. Sarbinov lands a big elbow.

Fen tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sarbinov lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Fen hang on? BOOM! Sarbinov connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sarbinov scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Sarbinov lands a big elbow. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fen sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Sarbinov slips a nice elbow through Fen's hands, connecting with Fen's forehead. Fen trying to hold on to Sarbinov's head to control him but Sarbinov postures up.

He's hooked one of Sarbinov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sarbinov's back! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sarbinov rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Yuri Sarbinov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Fen can't fight it off and eventually Sarbinov manages to take the fight to the floor. Fen looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Fen is looking for a triangle but Sarbinov pushes his legs off easily.

Possibly, maybe, no Sarbinov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Sarbinov lands a decent elbow from side control. Fen is trying to improve his position. Sarbinov lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Fen down.
Fen is not in a great position here, taking some shots. The strikes coming from Sarbinov are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Fen struggling a bit here. Sarbinov is putting a hurting on Fen here, landing some big shots from side control.

Sarbinov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Fen looks a forlorn figure.

Sarbinov lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Sarbinov dominating with strikes here. Fen tries to hold on but Sarbinov postures up. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sarbinov cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fen tries to hold on but Sarbinov pushes him away. Sarbinov with shots to the head and body - Fen looks very uncomfortable down there. Sarbinov pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Yuri Sarbinov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Sarbinov has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
