Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zak Maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paden Taber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maxwell kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 2pac-When We Ride On Our Enemies remix. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Paden Taber enters the cage!

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taber scores with a nice strike.
Taber tests Maxwell's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Taber slips a jab from Maxwell.
Taber scores with a kick to the midsection.
Maxwell avoids the body shot from Taber.
Maxwell gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Taber counters with a nice low kick that buckles Maxwell's knee momentarily.
Maxwell doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Taber counters with a stiff right hand.
Maxwell takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Maxwell misses the jab.
Maxwell shoots in looking for a takedown. Taber tries to sprawl out of it but Maxwell keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Taber manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zak Maxwell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maxwell throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Taber counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Maxwell is breathing heavily.
Taber throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Maxwell.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Taber stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Taber wants it to stay on the feet.
A lazy left from Taber finds it's target.
Taber throws out a powerful jab.
Maxwell walks into a left hand.
Maxwell is rocked!
Taber walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Maxwell drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Taber swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Maxwell's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paden Taber!
