Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Riley!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling beltran to counter with a crisp jab.
Riley feints a jab promting beltran to slip. Riley then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. beltran slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Riley closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Riley lands in his opponent's guard.
Riley must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Riley thows a big elbow that misses.
beltran keeping moving, preventing Riley from controlling successfully.
Riley drops back, looking for a kneebar! beltran looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. beltran looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from beltran!
beltran is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Riley has escaped the position, nice work there.
Riley tries to control the position but he's not in luck - beltran easily slips into full mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Poor strikes thrown by beltran there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
beltran cracks Riley with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

beltran takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
beltran has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
beltran throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
beltran is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Riley to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Riley shrugs it off.
beltran takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
beltran is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Riley has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Riley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with beltran. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
beltran sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Riley gets caught flat footed, as beltran shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Riley uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Riley gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows beltran to score an easy takedown into full guard.
beltran is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
beltran's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Riley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref stands the fighters back up. jd beltran wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Riley tries to keep at a distance but beltran has taken the fight into the clinch.
Riley gets control of beltran's arms and successfully pulls guard. Riley will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
beltran is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

beltran gets to his feet - Riley follows without any prompting.
Riley swats away the attempt to clinch by beltran.
Riley looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Riley is working for a kimura but beltran is defending it quite comfortably.
Riley is breathing heavily.
beltran kicks Riley off and gets back to his feet.
Billy Riley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Riley misses with a takedown attempt
and beltran counters by clinching up.
beltran tries to stall but Riley uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Riley tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Riley has a couple of punches blocked by beltran.
beltran is trying to push Riley away but Riley has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
beltran looking to stall.
beltran can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

beltran misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Riley.
beltran tries to pull guard but Riley won't allow it.

jd beltran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Riley.
Riley turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

beltran has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Riley is sitting in close to beltran's body. beltran has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Riley is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Riley is tapping! That was a very nice submission by beltran.
