Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vladdy Stanislov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cary Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stanislov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Russian National Anthem. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Thompson counters with a slapping leg kick.
Thompson wants to clinch up but Stanislov keeps it at a distance.
Thompson tries to move into range but Stanislov moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Thompson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Stanislov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Stanislov crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Thompson - the referee stops the clock and Stanislov gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Thompson. Stanislov manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Stanislov drops Thompson with a beautiful combination! Thompson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Stanislov is looking for the KO!

It looks like Cary Thompson has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stanislov connects with a superb combination that knocks Thompson out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Stanislov before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Thompson!
