Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason McNeil!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Franklyn Lucas and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNeil shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fairtex pinned against the cage. Fairtex gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fairtex lands with a nice combination. McNeil backs away looking to recover.
McNeil shoots in and drives through. Fairtex sprawls well.
McNeil with a poor takedown
and Fairtex counters with a one-two to the body.
Naruepol Fairtex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason McNeil.

Fairtex is not content to let McNeil control the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

McNeil keeps control of the position easily here as Fairtex tries to buck him off.

McNeil misses with a takedown attempt - Fairtex sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Fairtex counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Fairtex.

Fairtex tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. McNeil manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
McNeil misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
McNeil closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fairtex did well to prevent McNeil getting side control.

McNeil is pressing down on Fairtex's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fairtex is holding on for now.
McNeil works his way into side control.
Fairtex managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by McNeil.
McNeil advances nicely into full mount.
McNeil controlling the position easily from mount.
McNeil is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Fairtex is surviving well by controlling McNeil's body position as best he can.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McNeil sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Fairtex on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fairtex tries to get out of the position.
McNeil throwing strikes here but Fairtex is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
McNeil throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
McNeil takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
