Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Rogerio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Thiago Silva enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Rogerio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Silva!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Rogerio, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Rogerio against the cage but Rogerio circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Rogerio fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silva avoids it really well and circles away.

Rogerio drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!

Silva is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Rogerio is trying to keep Silva in close.

Rogerio has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Silva leaves Rogerio with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Rogerio stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.

so Rogerio counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Antonio Rogerio overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Rogerio trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Silva is looking to stand up but Rogerio isn't so interested in that idea.
Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Rogerio drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Rogerio seems to have locked his on tight now - Silva screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Rogerio, as he picks up the win!
