Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Zangief (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bulbozor Travecula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zangief misses with a combination

and Zangief counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Zangief slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Travecula moves into the clinch.

Zangief gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Travecula regains guard.
Zangief has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Zangief slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Zangief has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Zangief thows a body shot but no joy.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Zangief and Travecula goes tumbling to the canvas! Zangief follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Travecula is rocked!

It looks like Bulbozor Travecula has been cut.
Zangief lands a big elbow - Travecula is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Zangief!
