Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Gable (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chase comes to the cage accompanied by Bobcaygeon. Johnny Chase has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Chase! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dan Gable! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chase wants to clinch but Gable slips to the side and Gable counters with a stiff right hand. A head kick by Chase misses and Gable counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Chase tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Chase takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The crowd cheers as Chase lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gable doesn't seem phased though. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Gable - that will leave a mark!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chase throws a right hand that misses
and Gable counters with a shoot takedown. Chase fights it but they end up in guard. Chase is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gable content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Chase has his foot on Gable's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gable works his way back into a safe position though. Chase throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Chase is breathing heavily. Chase keeping full guard, as Gable tries to pass. Gable has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Chase is looking for a triangle but Gable pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chase utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Chase preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Gable postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Gable lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Chase is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gable is aware though and is defending well. Gable is in close to Chase's body, working some short punches and elbows. Gable is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Gable connects with a couple of short punches. Gable scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gable lands a couple of decent looking shots. Gable landing with the ground and pound. Gable trying to control but Chase is working from the bottom. Chase has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Gable has passed into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gable working the head and body with strikes. Chase gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gable prevents Chase from improving his position. Gable is nestled in close to Chase, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Chase taking some punishment here, with Gable in his half guard. Chase trying to control but Gable postures up.
Gable takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Gable prevents Chase from improving his position. Chase taking some punishment here, with Gable in his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gable is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chase trying to hold on to Gable's head to control him but Gable postures up.
Chase is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Gable is trying to control. Chase wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Gable works his foot free and advances to mount. Chase wants to control but Gable is having none of it. Chase working to try and regain half guard.
Gable is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Chase can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gable looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Chase tries to hold on but Gable postures up. Chase is trying desperately to improve position. Gable looking to control but Chase is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gable with a couple of short strikes. Gable breaks from Chase's wrist control and lands an elbow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A nice elbow there by Gable. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Gable dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Gable has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Chase misses with a double jab
and Gable counters with a good, hard body kick but Chase shrugs it off. Johnny Chase is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gable scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Chase throws a predictable looking body shot
and Gable counters with an outside leg kick.
Chase misses with a kick to the body and Gable counters with a body kick that stops Chase in his tracks momentarily. This has been an exciting period of action! Chase walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Gable lands the left hand. Johnny Chase seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gable lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Gable throws a nice inside leg kick. Chase takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gable lands a leg kick that knocks Chase off balance momentarily. Gable shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gable was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Gable with good strikes from the mount here! Gable unloading with bombs!
Chase is rocked! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gable connects with a bit shot that sees Chase covering up! More strikes from Gable and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Gable is our winner by TKO!
