Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Loblaw is now in half guard.

Smith throws out a loose jab but Loblaw uses good head movement to avoid it.

That was a close round but I would say that Bob Loblaw will probably get the nod.

Smith takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Smith throws a poor cross that misses
and Loblaw counters with a single leg into guard. Smith didn't expect that.
Smith lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Loblaw!

Loblaw connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Loblaw throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Loblaw off to one side.

Loblaw fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it.
Loblaw closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Loblaw will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Loblaw shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smith as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Loblaw. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smith closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Loblaw! Smith dives in looking to finish! Loblaw is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
