Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hideyoshi Okami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Hideyoshi Okami has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Hideyoshi Okami seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips closes the distance looking to clinch
and Okami counters with a nice uppercut.
Phillips tries to clinch but Okami moves away
and Phillips takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Phillips wants to clinch but Okami slips to the side
letting Okami counter with a right hand.

and Okami counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Okami connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Okami feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Okami postures up in Phillips 's guard and throws a big left but Phillips blocks it.
Okami in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Okami is stalling in the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Okami loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Phillips can't keep his opponent in guard - Okami advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Okami is controlling the pace.
Okami is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Phillips is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
