Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jes Justiniano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Don Dokken! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Justiniano fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Dokken checks it well. Justiniano clinches up with Dokken and pushes him back against the ropes. Justiniano is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Dokken can't fight it off and eventually Justiniano manages to take the fight to the floor. Dokken looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Justiniano stays in close to Dokken's body and controls the position. Justiniano looking to pass the guard. Justiniano is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Justiniano seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dokken for as long as he can get away with.

Jes Justiniano has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Justiniano avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dokken has his takedown stuffed and Justiniano counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Justiniano is controlling the pace.

Jes Justiniano has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Dokken moves out of range as Justiniano strikes. Dokken lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Justiniano backs up against the ropes.
Justiniano swings for the body but Dokken moves out of range.
Dokken misses with a takedown attempt and Justiniano counters by moving into the clinch. Dokken looks gassed! Justiniano breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Justiniano shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dokken napping and manages to drive through into side control! Justiniano takes a little break here. Dokken wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jes Justiniano wasn't doing enough on the ground. Justiniano drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Justiniano slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Dokken takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dokken is being controlled here. Justiniano's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. You can see the frustration on Dokken's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Justiniano controls the position. Justiniano scoring with punches and elbows. Dokken is letting Justiniano control him for a moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Justiniano has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Justiniano darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Justiniano is nestled in close to Dokken, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Nice strikes from Justiniano there. Justiniano looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dokken with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Well, if Justiniano is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Dokken is breathing heavily. Justiniano passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dokken! Justiniano controlling from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Justiniano cracks Dokken with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Justiniano takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jes Justiniano wasn't doing enough on the ground. Dokken ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Justiniano looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Dokken! Justiniano controlling his opponent. Justiniano is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dokken is surviving well by controlling Justiniano's body position as best he can.

Justiniano looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Justiniano controlling from mount. Justiniano with a couple of short strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dokken gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Justiniano to score an easy takedown into full guard. Justiniano is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Justiniano slips nicely into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Justiniano moves into full mount! Dokken won't be happy about that! Justiniano with shots to the head and body - Dokken looks very uncomfortable down there. Justiniano lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Dokken in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Justiniano takes a little breather and maintains the position.
