The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skorodumov with a poor takedown
letting Arlovskii counter with a right hand.
Arlovskii closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Arlovskii wants to pass to mount but Skorodumov is defending the position.
Arlovskii stands up and beckons Skorodumov to join him on the feet.
Arlovskii drives through with a takedown into guard.
Arlovskii postures up in Skorodumov's guard and throws a big left but Skorodumov blocks it.
Arlovskii will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

and Skorodumov counters by moving into the clinch.

and Arlovskii counters with a thumping low kick.
Arlovskii drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Arlovskii decides to stand back up.
Arlovskii shoots in and bounces Skorodumov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Skorodumov has a closed guard, preventing Arlovskii from standing up.

Arlovskii missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Arlovskii wants to get up but he can't break Skorodumov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Skorodumov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Arlovskii wants to free his trapped foot but Skorodumov is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
It looks like Arlovskii is going to stand back up.

Skorodumov is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Eugene Skorodumov was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Skorodumov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Arlovskii as he jumps to the side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arlovskii shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Skorodumov but Skorodumov pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Arlovskii tries to close the distance and clinch but Skorodumov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Arlovskii changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Skorodumov tries to avoid it but Arlovskii manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Skorodumov to the ground. Skorodumov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrei Arlovskii. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck for Skorodumov with that takedown attempt.
Skorodumov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Arlovskii is trying to defend but Skorodumov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
