Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chang T Roc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romeo Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romeo Ortiz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chang T Roc! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Romeo Ortiz! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roc tries to close the distance and clinch but Ortiz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Roc takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Ortiz has closed the distance and engaged Roc in a clinch.
Roc tries to land knees in the clinch but Ortiz avoids the damage to the body. Ortiz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Roc tries to clinch but Ortiz moves away and Ortiz counters with a nice body kick. Roc clinches but Ortiz breaks the clinch and Ortiz holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Roc tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Still in the clinch, Ortiz scores with a nice short uppercut. Ortiz unloads a knee to the mid-section. Roc lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Roc is breathing heavily. The referee calls for Ortiz to work.
Ortiz drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Roc throws a knee to the head but misses.
Ortiz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ortiz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roc as he jumps to the side. Ortiz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Roc sprawls well initially but Ortiz persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ortiz winds up and cracks Roc with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ortiz is taking a breather. Roc says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ortiz decides to return to a standing position. Roc closes the distance looking to clinch and Ortiz counters with a two punch combo. Roc on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Roc looking to throw knees to the head but Ortiz is blocking nicely.
Roc unloads a knee to the mid-section. Ortiz lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Roc lands a nice knee to the body. Ortiz on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Roc tries to clinch but fails miserably and Ortiz counters with a shoot takedown. Roc fights it but they end up in guard. Ortiz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ortiz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ortiz controls from within his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ortiz passes easily into side control. Nice work. Ortiz decides to stand up, so the ref orders Roc to his feet. Chang T Roc is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Ortiz. Ortiz working the ground and pound from side control. Ortiz has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Ortiz throws a body kick that misses. Ortiz throws a sloppy head kick and Roc moves out of range easily. Roc tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Ortiz counters by clinching up. Ortiz fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Chang T Roc has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Romeo Ortiz. Ortiz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roc closes the distance looking to clinch and Ortiz counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Ortiz takes a knee right on the jaw!
It looks like Romeo Ortiz has been cut. Roc misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ortiz.

Ortiz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ortiz throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Ortiz clinches with his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action! Ortiz drags the fight down to the ground.
Ortiz has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ortiz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Roc! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Romeo Ortiz dominated that round. The cut man is working on Romeo Ortiz's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ortiz bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Roc's head backwards. Ortiz throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Roc crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Romeo Ortiz!
