Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stan Stewert! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Trouble Some! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stewert closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stewert lands in his opponent's guard. Some looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stewert is one step ahead there. Stewert got a little sloppy there for a moment and Some has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stewert has managed to get both his arms back between Some's legs - danger averted. Some had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stewert defends it easily. Some looking for a guillotine here but Stewert defends easily.
Stewert wants to control from the top but Some keeps moving. Some wants to stand up but Stewert is controlling him. Some working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stewert doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position.
