Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Niko Clooten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tenaka Takahashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takahashi has chosen Get Down - Captain Tinrib as his entrance music. Niko Clooten could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tenaka Takahashi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Niko Clooten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tenaka Takahashi! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crunch! Takahashi slams his shin into Clooten's torso. Clooten dips to his left and cracks Takahashi with an uppercut! Clooten throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Takahashi was covering up waiting for the punch and Clooten finishes the takedown easily into guard. Clooten in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Clooten stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takahashi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Clooten trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takahashi pulls Clooten in close to his closed guard and prevents Clooten from doing any damage or advancing position. Clooten advances position into side control! Clooten wants to control but Takahashi is keeping him busy. Clooten tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Clooten wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Takahashi, who protects the arm well. Takahashi is trying to get back to half guard. Clooten in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Clooten prevents Takahashi from escaping the position. Clooten tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Clooten has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takahashi manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Clooten is looking for a sweep. Takahashi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Clooten looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Takahashi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Clooten. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Takahashi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Clooten does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Clooten is looking to escape. Clooten trying to hold on to Takahashi's head to control him but Takahashi postures up.
Takahashi is just content to waste time from the top position. Clooten takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Clooten looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Takahashi is defending well. Clooten quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Takahashi has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Clooten celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
