Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Torrence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barnaby Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torrence's entrance music is I Remember You. A fine choice. Jones is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Barnaby Jones. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joseph Torrence! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Barnaby Jones! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Torrence throws a one two combo.
A punch combination from Jones misses.
Torrence looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Torrence lands with a punch from half guard. Torrence seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones works his way to full guard. Good work. Torrence is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Torrence accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Torrence decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jones, up you get! Barnaby Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Torrence is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Torrence throws a head kick that misses.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is looking to score with low kicks. Torrence tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Torrence looks like he's trying to stand up.
Torrence is doing well to control the position and prevent Jones from advancing to side control. Jones stalling. Torrence trying to control here.

Torrence looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Torrence is trying to control but can't.
 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Torrence tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Torrence counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Torrence.
Torrence stands up from guard. Let's bang! Torrence is breathing heavily. A combination from Torrence does no damage. Torrence misses with a looping left. Torrence connects with a looping right hand.
Torrence drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Jones wants to sweep here but Torrence controlling him for the moment. Jones controlling Torrence's posture.
Jones looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Jones manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Torrence drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones regains half guard. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Joseph Torrence dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jones tries to keep at a distance but Torrence has taken the fight into the clinch. Torrence is trying to stall.
Torrence tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Torrence drops back down to his feet.
Jones has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Torrence clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Jones is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Torrence is defending well though. Jones let's go of the attempt for now. Torrence staying busy and making it hard for Jones to control. Torrence is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Torrence takes a big shot to the side of the head.

It looks like Joseph Torrence has been cut. Torrence is covering up but some of the strikes from Jones are getting through and doing damage.
Torrence manages to reverse the position and now he's in Jones's guard. Nice work there by Torrence.
Jones is looking for a triangle but Torrence pushes his legs off easily.
Torrence has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Torrence bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Torrence decides to stand back up. Torrence steps back and let's Jones get back to his feet. Jones is breathing heavily. Torrence shoots and misses
and Jones counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Torrence is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jones is controlling him. Torrence is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Torrence has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Jones off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Torrence closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard. Torrence wants to stand but Jones has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Jones keeping full guard, as Torrence tries to pass.

Jones is looking for a triangle but Torrence pushes his legs off easily.
Torrence slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Jones has his foot on Torrence's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Torrence works his way back into a safe position though.

Jones lands an upkick as Torrence stands over him.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Torrence preventing the sweep. Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jones is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Torrence has managed to free his arm - good work. Torrence is trying to control but can't.
Jones stops Torrence from getting back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Torrence tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control.

Barnaby Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Joseph Torrence's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

and Torrence counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jones! Torrence scoring with strikes but Jones is staying in there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones is wriggling around trying to escape.

Torrence throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Jones tries to reverse the position but Torrence maintains control. Jones tries to hold on but Torrence pushes him away. Jones regains half guard. Jones is trying to maintain the position but Torrence is very close to passing his half guard. Jones tries to roll over but Torrence keeps him under control.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jones gets full guard. Jones has a closed guard, preventing Torrence from standing up. Torrence wants to stand and escape but instead Jones has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Torrence had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jones is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Torrence Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jones's back instead. Jones is trapped and Torrence is scoring with shots to the head and body. Jones tries to roll but Torrence sticks to his back.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Torrence connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Jones to escape the position.
Torrence cracks Jones with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Jones from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Jones rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Torrence trying to mount his opponent but Jones defends it. Torrence wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Jones uses the opportunity to regain full guard. Torrence trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Torrence throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jones kicks Torrence off and gets to his feet. Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Torrence counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jones! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones is squirming around, avoiding Torrence's attempts to control the action.
Torrence goes for an armbar but he's not got it� Jones turns into him and now he's in Torrence's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Joseph Torrence showed his dominance in that final round. Well Torrence has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
