The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele throws a hook but Zuberi blocks it.
Zuberi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

A lazy left from Steele finds it's target.
Steele lands with an uppercut that bounces Zuberi off the cage and back into rage.

Zuberi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zuberi wants it to stay on the feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Zuberi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Steele closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Zuberi quickly recovers to half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Steele has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Zuberi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Steele.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Zuberi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

A punch lands to the side of Zuberi 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Steele dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Zuberi. That did some damage!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Steele is looking to clinch but Zuberi is avoiding it.
Steele lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.
Zuberi on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Steele. Steele obviously looking to wear him down.

It looks like Folami Zuberi has been cut.
Steele lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Steele lands a big right hand that sends Zuberi crashing to the mat! Steele stays standing though and waves Zuberi back to his feet!

The fighters circle momentarily. Steele darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

George Steele is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Zuberi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Steele.

Well Steele has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
