Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gunner State (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor McNamara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). State kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is thunderstruck. Connor McNamara looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNamara shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
State gets full guard.
McNamara really doesn't want to stay on the ground with State. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McNamara wanted to stand there but State had control of the position.
State is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
State manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McNamara manages to get himself to full guard.
State works a leg free and moves into half guard.
State throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

State shoots in looking for a takedown. McNamara tries to sprawl out of it but State keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McNamara manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

McNamara is working for takedown but State is calmly controlling the position for now.
McNamara drops down looking for an ankle pick but State pulls his leg out and moves away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

State tries to close the distance and clinch but McNamara swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

McNamara goes for a takedown in the clinch but State prevents it.
Gunner State has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Connor McNamara.
Come on State - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
State breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
State shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than State was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
State tries to control but McNamara wriggling away.

McNamara manages to regain half guard. Good work.
State looks to land a strike but McNamara avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
McNamara wants to get back to his feet but State is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

McNamara escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. State gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
State avoids the head kick by McNamara.
McNamara darts in trying to clinch
and State counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

McNamara tries to pull guard but State won't allow it.
McNamara is looking for a takedown up against the cage. State gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
State gets through McNamara's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
State jumps guard.
McNamara avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McNamara trying to stand up but can't free himself from State's guard.
State looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but McNamara is defending well. State quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! McNamara has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! State celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
