The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salasana shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Grigoryan but Grigoryan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Karen Grigoryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grigoryan with a poor takedown
and Salasana counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Grigoryan's guard now.
Grigoryan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Salasana. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Grigoryan blocks Salasana's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Salasana tries to lock up and control but Grigoryan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Salasana is looking to get to half guard.
Salasana regains half guard.
Salasana looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Grigoryan throws a strike but Salasana manages to get a kimura sweep and he's found himself on top with the kimura half locked in! This would be a real turnaround! He's torquing it... Will Grigoryan tap??? YES! He's tapped! This one is all over!
