Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Buzz Killington! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Debor Tan! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Killington shoots for a takedown but Tan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Tan uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Tan tries a head kick but it misses.
Tan connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. That kick from Tan tenderised Killington's leg. Killington is trying to keep his angry face on. Nice sprawl there from Tan as Killington shoots in. Killington gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Tan to counter with a crisp jab. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Buzz Killington. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Killington counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tan is trying is best to control the position here. Killington trying to control the action but Tan is working from the bottom. Killington is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Tan is looking for a sweep. Killington is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Killington is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Tan has managed to free his arm - good work. Tan tries to get to full guard but Killington has control of the leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Killington is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Tan is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
