Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kanrosch Timoshenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Li comes into the arena with Give My Bullet Back blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James Li!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kanrosch Timoshenko!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Timoshenko looks to land a right hand but Li moved out of range.
Li with a lazy takedown attempt
letting Timoshenko counter with a right hand.
Li tries for a takedown but Timoshenko circles away easily
and Timoshenko counters with a stiff right hand.
Li has his takedown stuffed
and Timoshenko counters with a two punch combo.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Li. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Li shoots and misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Li with a poor takedown
and Timoshenko cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Timoshenko pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Li back to the cage. Timoshenko follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like James Li has been cut.
Li has his takedown stuffed

and Timoshenko counters with a crisp one two that drops Li! Timoshenko thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Li to his feet! Li is in big trouble!
Li is breathing heavily.
Li misses with a takedown
and Timoshenko counters with a body kick that stops Li in his tracks momentarily.
Timoshenko connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Li. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
A nice leg kick lands there from Timoshenko.
Timoshenko throws a nice outside leg kick.

Timoshenko connects with a leg kick. Li looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Li has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Li there as he acknowledges the shot.
Timoshenko scoring well with a low kick there.
Timoshenko thuds a left hand into Li's body.
Timoshenko swinging wildly here.

Timoshenko drops Li with a beautiful combination! Li stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Timoshenko is looking for the KO!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Timoshenko has managed to clinch.
Timoshenko scores with a shoulder strike.
Timoshenko pushes Li back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Li's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!


James Li's cut is getting worse.

Timoshenko breaks from the clinch.

and Timoshenko connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Timoshenko takes the fight into the clinch.

Timoshenko manages to break the clinch.
Timoshenko scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Timoshenko thows a body kick. Li tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Timoshenko cracks Li with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.


James Li's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Timoshenko is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Li tries for a takedown but Timoshenko circles away easily
and Timoshenko counters with a slapping leg kick.
Li shoots and misses
and Timoshenko connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Timoshenko is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Li had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Timoshenko tries to land a front kick but Li steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Timoshenko lands the left hand.

Timoshenko digs a good body shot into Li's ribs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Timoshenko looks for the body kick but Li saw that one coming.
Li shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Timoshenko counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Timoshenko.
Nice body punch from Timoshenko - that landed with a thud.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Timoshenko.
A right handed body shot lands from Timoshenko.
A short right from Timoshenko on the inside.
Timoshenko lands with a light punch inside.
Timoshenko scores with a shoulder strike.
Timoshenko scores with a shot to the side of Li's head.


Jeez, James Li's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Li changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Timoshenko fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Li wants to clinch but Timoshenko slips to the side
and Timoshenko counters with a nice leg kick.
Li takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Timoshenko changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
James Li seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Timoshenko sizes up Li with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Timoshenko darts in and clinches Li up against the cage.

Li is trying to drag Timoshenko to the mat but Timoshenko just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Timoshenko lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Timoshenko lands a hook that snaps the head of Li backwards.
Li looking for a takedown.

Timoshenko breaks from the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Li fails with the takedown
and Timoshenko counters with a stiff right hand.
Timoshenko throws a good cross that connects.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kanrosch Timoshenko dominated that round.
The cut man is working on James Li's cut.
That's time! Li's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Li drives through with a takedown into guard.
Li stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Timoshenko swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Li prevents Timoshenko from getting back to his feet.
Li trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Li drops back, looking for a kneebar! Timoshenko looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Timoshenko looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Timoshenko!

Timoshenko decides to stand back up.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Timoshenko. Li shrugs it off though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Li shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Timoshenko cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Li tries to move into range but Timoshenko moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Timoshenko lunges at Li with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Li's hand.
Timoshenko jabs at Li's body.
Timoshenko works over Li's head and body with a nice combination.

Timoshenko closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Timoshenko scores with a shot to the side of Li's head.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at James Li's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Kanrosch Timoshenko!
