Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emerson Montain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emelianenko comes to the cage accompanied by Казаки - Ой Да . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Emelianenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Emerson Montain! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Montain swats him away and circles back towards the center. Montain fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Emelianenko has a takedown stuffed. Montain circles away from the clinch attempt and Montain counters with a nice double leg into side control. Emelianenko won't be happy with that. Emelianenko is trying to get back to his feet. Emelianenko tries to bench press Montain off him but Montain keeps the position. Montain fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Montain in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Montain working the ground and pound. Montain working away. This has been an exciting period of action! Montain scoring with punches and elbows. Montain lands an elbow. Emelianenko manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Emelianenko is trying to stand up here but Montain is controlling him well. Emelianenko trying to control but Montain postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Montain is pressing down on Emelianenko's thigh, looking to free his foot. Emelianenko is holding on for now. Montain really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Emelianenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Emelianenko actively working from the bottom here. Emelianenko wants to control but Montain is keeping busy and won't allow it. Montain not landing any meaningful shots this time. Emelianenko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Emelianenko pushes Montain off and gets back to his feet. Nice takedown defense from Emelianenko. No joy for Montain on that attempt. Emelianenko gets tackled into the cage by Montain. Montain maintains the clinch. Emelianenko prevents the takedown attempt.
Fedor Emelianenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emerson Montain. Montain misses with a punch on the inside.

Montain gets a trip takedown into half guard. Emelianenko kicks Montain off and gets back to his feet. Montain doesn't succeed with the takedown and Emelianenko counters with a single leg into guard. Montain didn't expect that. Montain looks gassed! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Emelianenko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Emelianenko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Montain wants to stand and escape but Emelianenko is having none of it. Emelianenko looking to pass the guard. Emelianenko has gone for a leg lock! Montain slips out almost immediately though and dives into Emelianenko's guard. Montain controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Emelianenko working for a triangle but Montain defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montain avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Montain lands a couple of elbows. Emelianenko working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Montain doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Montain manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Emelianenko seems keen to control Montain's posture. Montain postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Montain postures up and lands a big shot to Emelianenko's brow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Emelianenko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Montain can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Emelianenko is working an open guard so Montain takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Emelianenko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Montain swats him away and circles back towards the center. Horrible takedown by Montain or perhaps it was just good defense by Emelianenko which made him look bad. Montain will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Montain feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Emelianenko controls Montain momentarily but Montain frees himself. Montain with a flurry of punches that miss. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Montain wanted to stand there but Emelianenko had control of the position. Emelianenko is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Emerson Montain dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Montain keeps the fight on the outside. Emelianenko has managed to clinch.

Emelianenko has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Montain is trying to keep an underhook but Emelianenko manages to get the takedown into half guard. Emelianenko stops Montain from getting back to his feet.
Emelianenko is working for a kimura but Montain is defending it quite comfortably.

That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko wants to work for an arm triangle but Montain is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Emerson Montain has got the better of the ground game so far. Montain is defending against the submission attempts here by Emelianenko.
Montain tries to roll over but Emelianenko keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Montain kicks Emelianenko off and gets back to his feet. Montain shoots in but no luck this time. Montain misses with a takedown attempt so Emelianenko counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Montain is breathing heavily. Emelianenko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Emelianenko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Emelianenko stands and throws Montain's legs to the side, diving into side control. Emelianenko thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Emelianenko is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Montain knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Montain is looking to regain half guard here but Emelianenko keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko has hold of Montain's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Montain seems comfortable defending it but Emelianenko has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Montain is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Montain is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Emelianenko couldn't care less - he's delighted!
