Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Fly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Christopher Fly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Alejandro Torres!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Torres.


It looks like Christopher Fly has been cut.
Torres tries to close the distance and clinch but Fly swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The fighters circling - Fly throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Fly with a lazy takedown attempt
and Torres counters with a right hand to the body.
Torres shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fly as he jumps to the side.
Torres wants to clinch but Fly slips to the side

and Fly counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Torres is trying to get back to full guard.
Fly looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Torres has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fly is working away from the top position though.
Fly has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fly throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Fly wants to pass to mount but Torres is defending the position.
Torres makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Torres.

Fly stands up from Torres's guard - Fly perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Fly drives through and clinches with Torres against the cage.
Torres gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Fly.
Torres lands an elbow inside.
Torres jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fly walks away with a smile on his face. Torres gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A punch combination from Torres misses.
Fly avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fly misses with a takedown attempt
and Torres counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christopher Fly. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fly doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Torres counters with a series of strikes. Fly will be more careful next time no doubt.
Torres throws a sloppy head kick and Fly moves out of range easily.

Fly closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Torres quickly recovers to half guard.
Fly is breathing heavily.
Fly lands strikes from half guard.
Torres on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Torres is trying to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Fly seems to be looking for submissions.
Fly throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fly seems to be working for a kimura but Torres defends the submission attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fly slips a nice elbow through Torres's hands, connecting with Torres's forehead.
Fly prevents Torres from improving his position.

Fly is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Fly is trying to work for a kimura but Torres is defending well.
Torres is trying to maintain the position but Fly is very close to passing his half guard.

Fly decides to stand up.
Torres changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fly tries to avoid it but Torres manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fly to the ground. Fly escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Torres shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Fly counters with a takedown into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fly connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Torres some visible discomfort.

Fly wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Torres, who protects the arm well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fly works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Fly is trying to get an arm triangle but Torres is defending well.
Torres wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Fly stands up and beckons Torres to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Torres gets caught flat footed, as Fly shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Christopher Fly dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Christopher Fly's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Torres tries to sprawl but Fly drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Torres wants to get back to his feet.

Fly is working for a submission of some sort.
Torres is looking to improve his position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fly is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Torres!
Fly landing punches.
Fly lands a big elbow.

Fly working for a submission but Torres is keeping him at bay.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Fly looking to secure an arm triangle but Torres defends it well.
Torres slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Fly with the ground and pound but Torres uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Fly drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fly jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Fly postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Torres is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fly, into his guard.
Torres in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Torres postures up and lands a big shot to Fly's brow.

Torres throws a sloppy strike and Fly has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Torres is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Fly!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Christopher Fly!
