The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wafel with a poor takedown
and Wafel takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wafel tries to clinch up
and Alves counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Alves closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wafel quickly recovers to half guard.
Alves looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wafel with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Wafel is not content to let Alves control the position.
Alves seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Wafel regains full guard. Nicely done.
Alves wants to stand but Wafel has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Wafel looking for a triangle here. Alves is fighting it but it looks tight! Wafel pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Alves is tapping out - this one is all over!
