Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Biggie Smalls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eddie Dean! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Biggie Smalls! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smalls avoids the head kick by Dean.
Smalls shoots and misses and Dean counters with a nice double leg into guard. Smalls had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dean defends it easily. Dean might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dean stopping the sweep attempt from Smalls. Dean is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dean trying to stand up but can't free himself from Smalls's guard. Dean has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smalls keeping full guard, as Dean tries to pass. Dean postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Smalls is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Dean trying to control the position from guard on top but Smalls is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Eddie Dean just wasn't active enough. Dean throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Smalls gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dean decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Smalls's guard. Smalls is looking for a triangle but Dean pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dean stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smalls swivels though and keeps the full guard. Smalls looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Dean has picked Smalls up and slammed him! Smalls can't keep hold of the triangle and Dean manages to pass to side control! Dean working the strikes but Smalls uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Smalls looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Dean prevents Smalls from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dean stalling. Dean wants to control but Smalls is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Smalls with the active half guard here but Dean passes nicely into side control. Dean decides to stand back up. Dean bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Smalls sneaks back into half guard. Dean is working for a kimura but Smalls is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dean throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eddie Dean dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Dean shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Smalls has his foot on Dean's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dean works his way back into a safe position though. Dean postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Smalls is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dean, into his guard. Dean keeping full guard, as Smalls tries to pass. Smalls drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dean manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Smalls has Dean in his guard. Dean trying to control the position from guard on top but Smalls is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dean wants to pass the guard but Smalls is keeping the position. Dean postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Smalls is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dean, into his guard. Smalls pushes down on Dean's leg and manages to get into half guard. Smalls not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dean is looking to control Smalls's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dean avoid being mounted? Smalls is trying to work for a kimura but Dean is defending well.
Dean is not content to let Smalls control the position. Smalls is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Dean is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Biggie Smalls!
