Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Wayne Parr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jan De Wolf ! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parr feints and as De Wolf raises his hands in defense, Parr changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. De Wolf looking for a sweep. Not yet De Wolf , not yet. Parr postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parr slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. De Wolf not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Parr preventing the sweep.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. De Wolf scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Parr fails with a takedown attempt. De Wolf moves into range and clinches up with Parr. Parr scores a nice knee to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. De Wolf takes an elbow to the forehead. Parr managing to block the knees to the body from De Wolf .
De Wolf looks gassed! De Wolf is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Parr landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Parr will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning De Wolf up against the cage. Parr seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Parr is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Parr gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by John Wayne Parr. Parr throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
De Wolf 's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Parr connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! De Wolf scrambles back to his feet. Parr looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Parr sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parr looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
John Wayne Parr has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Parr shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parr gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. A momentary lapse in concentration from De Wolf enables Parr to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. De Wolf manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Parr pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. De Wolf is keeping the position for now. Parr is stalling in the full guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because John Wayne Parr just wasn't active enough. Parr closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. De Wolf quickly recovers to half guard. Parr is pressing down on De Wolf 's thigh, looking to free his foot. De Wolf is holding on for now. Parr is controlling the pace.
Parr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for De Wolf on the ground. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Parr looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Parr stalling. De Wolf tries to get to full guard but Parr has control of the leg. De Wolf is breathing heavily. Parr looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The ref stands the fighters back up. John Wayne Parr wasn't doing enough on the ground. Parr fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but De Wolf avoids it really well and circles away. De Wolf takes a kick to the side of the head. De Wolf gets caught flat footed, as Parr shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Parr is stalling in the full guard. De Wolf is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Parr stands and steps away. De Wolf gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parr turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Parr shoots in and bounces De Wolf off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Parr seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. De Wolf trying to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. John Wayne Parr wasn't doing enough on the ground. Parr misses with a looping left. De Wolf stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Parr. Parr darts in and clinches De Wolf up against the cage. De Wolf being controlled against the cage. A short right from Parr on the inside. Parr leaning against his opponent.

Parr scrambles and gets back to his feet.
De Wolf takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
De Wolf gets caught flat footed, as Parr shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. De Wolf throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Parr not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Parr is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that De Wolf can do to turn this around? We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. De Wolf is striking from the bottom but Parr uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. De Wolf is trying to control but can't.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Parr keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Parr's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Wayne Parr dominated that second round. That's time! Parr's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Parr shoots in and bounces De Wolf off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. De Wolf wants to hit a switch here but Parr passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for De Wolf there! Parr controlling from mount. Parr seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down De Wolf for as long as he can get away with.
That's one minute gone in the round. De Wolf takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's two minutes gone in the round. De Wolf is trying to control Parr's posture but Parr avoids it. De Wolf wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Parr decides to stand back up. Parr drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Parr stands up from guard. Let's bang! Parr darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Parr slows the pace down in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. John Wayne Parr is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. De Wolf is trying to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Parr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. De Wolf swivels though and keeps the full guard. Parr showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Jan De Wolf has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight! John Wayne Parr showed his dominance in that final round. Well Parr has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
